As overseas markets have a rising demand for restocking at the beginning of 2022, China's sewing machinery sector in January has fulfilled an export value of 345mn USD, setting a monthly export record for another time, while interrupted by the Spring Festival holidays and sporadic outburst of pandemic cases, the sector's export in February has seen a noticeable shrinkage and a minor year-on-year dip. In general, China's sewing machinery sector has maintained last year's growth momentum in the first two months this year though with a slower rate. According to data released by the Customs, China has in total exported sewing machineries worth of 535mn USD in January and February, growing 15.15% compared with the same period the year before. Specifically, it has exported industrial sewing machine of 850 thousand sets worth of 289mn USD; its export volume has grown 18.33% on a year-on-year basis, and its export value 37.30%.
China has exported sewing machineries worth of 345mn USD in January, increasing 26.60% compared with the year before, and growing 13.14% compared with the previous month, sending the monthly export to a record high once again. In detail, the sector exported industrial sewing machine of 540 thousand sets worth of 184mn USD; its export volume and export value grow 24.63% and 47.71% respectively compared with the year before, and grow 21.90% and 18.36% respectively compared with the month before. The monthly export value of industrial sewing machine has reached the highest level in recent years.
