In the first two months of 2022, China has exported sewing machineries to BRI countries worth of 356mn USD, increasing 26.61% on a year-on-year basis, and constituting 66.51% of the sector's aggregate export, which is 6.02% higher than the same period the year before. Regionally, it has exported such products worth of 145mn USD to ASEAN countries, 46.57% higher than the year before; 118mn USD to south Asia, increasing 18.88% on a YoY basis; 45mn USD to Middle East, growing 35.73% on a YoY basis; 31mn USD to EU, falling 15.53% compared with the year before; 29mn USD to east Asia, 13.76% lower than the year before; 16mn USD to central Asia, soaring 54.17% on a YoY basis. 

In February, the sector exported 20.90mn USD worth of sewing equipment to India, dropping 10.17% on a YoY basis, and sinking 47.02% compared with the previous month. Nevertheless, export to countries like Vietnam, Bangladesh, Singapore, Turkey, Cambodia has grown compared with the year before, that to UAE, Malaysia, Mexico and others even doubled.
